    Default Tragic

This just ran across a news feed.

I obviously don't know the circumstances, but I feel like the tweet by the governor regarding the representative that was piloting one of the planes as a "skilled pilot" is a little out of bounds given the circumstances. Prayers for everyones family that was involved.

Looking at the names and ages it seems that someone just lost three kids all at one time.

    Prayers sent.

So far away yet so close to home.

Man I couldn't imagine losing both my son's, a daughter in law and a son's girlfriend. God please be with and comfort this family. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Listen to your elders. Not because they are always right but because they have more experiences of being wrong.

Skilled pilots are still human and make mistakes. We had a couple pilots with thousands of flight hours under their collective belts put a C-17 down on her belly in Afghanistan. Just got complacent, missed that step in the checklist and never put the landing gear down.

Either way, I'll say a prayer for the souls of the deceased and healing for everyone left behind.

As sad as it is, it's not the worst way to die. My family has been informed that if I ever go in such a disaster, nobody should shed a tear. It beats the hell out of dying in a hospital with hospice attending. My family knows that when they find me in the woods dead clutching my chest with one hand and the other on my deer drag, it's been a good run. If I die in a plane crash in Alaska while riding with a good bush pilot, the poor embalmer's hardest job will be wiping the grin off my face.
