I think that was why you were using bait.

The irony is you talking about killing turkeys when you can’t kill one in a turkey farm Cromer

Yeah, but deer aren’t majestic or have a mystique about them. Deer are meant to be slaughtered. Turkeys are meant for pursuit and harvest.

I’m just here for a bump of coke.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

No need in hauling around a big strutter decoy.....the fan alone will get the job done.

Just curious, what do you consider a lot of turkeys?

Not me. I haven't deer hunted in over 10 yrs and have never shot a deer over corn or any bait. Hunting over bait wasn't legal when I lived in GA and I haven't hunted them since moving here.

Default Lost Art of Turkey Hunting

    I prefer a butterball......
Taste way better. Only decoy needed is a cart.

I go a handful of times every year but in all reality forget eating a wild turkey. I would rather drink it and watch them walk around. Like all the snake charmers on here, for me turkeys get a pass.
I am not to blame for an impact on their majestic population.

Wow the turkey poets on here. Let people hunt the way they want to hunt without chastising them. We have to stick together. If a man wants to sit in a blind and use decoys so be it. I don’t see the problem in him killing his turkeys the way he wants to. For me personally I have killed them pretty much any way possible. I get the same feeling of accomplishment no matter what tactic I employ.
