    Default Cow Processors

Anyone have a recommendation for someone to process a cow in SC?

Called Lees in Orangeburg and they can’t do it until end of October.

Peach Orchard in Sumter does if I remember correctly.

Just checked their website, and yes, they process cows.

Yes but pricey and they just changed owners. Quality has gone down as well.

Dang. That's disappointing. B&W used to do a great job when they still processed deer. Hate to hear they've slipped.

Call Brown's Meat Market in the 'burg. Last time I talked to Lance he said they were about to get into custom slaughter/processing. Ask for Lance Brown.

buddy just dropped one off last week, be ready in a month. But this was one of the last ones they were doing until after deer season. He had also had this scheduled since around April.

Perhaps a better post would be, who here has the equipment and wants a share of a cow?

Didn’t realize they had changed owners. I’ve only used them for deer once, friendly staff and clean facility but it’s on the other side of town from me and I live less than 5min from the other large processor in town so the ones I don’t skin myself, RHR gets my business.

The fella that owned Northwest, Glenn, also owns a construction business as well, heard a few weeks ago he was looking for help for that. Maybe he’s expanding that business?

Yea Glenn sold out to a younger guy that doesn't have the best reputation in the cattle industry.

Looks like the website is gone.

Try Williamsburg Packing Co in Kingstree or Hemingway Locker Plant.

Harvin Meats in Sumter or, if you want to try a large establishment, FPL Foods in Augusta (Formerly Shapiro Packing).
