Look at Rokslide.com I think that’s how you spell it. It’s a western hunting forum and those guys sell some really nice stuff.

I used to think the same way as 2th, hell I even wore carharts on mountain archery hunts.
Then I went to the yukon for a mountain horseback moose/sheep/grizzly hunt. Late season, non-cotton clothes were a must, had a very strict weight limit and weighed everything to the ounce. Since I had a few things already, I went all out with kuiu, and IT WAS WORTH EVERY FREAKING DIME! I wore the same damn clothes for 10 days and only had to carry 2 things in my pack, my down outer layer and rain suit. Never been so impressed and comfortable in my life.
If i was picking up a few things, it would be their base layers, attack pants, and down jacket. The rest you could fill in but those 3 things make a world of difference. Not to mention you can take off thier base layers without removing you boots in about 5 seconds.

I’m not one for fancy clothing. Lived in Idaho for a few years and hunted and fished very hard without any Sitka gear or the like. In the fall weather is extremely unpredictable. May be 60+ and sunny or 20 degrees snowing sideways. Also it warms up quickly during the day, and the dry cold isn’t nearly as cold if the sun is out and the wind isn’t whipping. 40 and sunny out there is very different than 40 in SC

I was paying homage to a fella that was a couple years older me in high school... mofo thought he was the coolest. I ran into him at some show afterwards and he starts yapping about how he wasn't into alt music anymore, solely classical, Bach and shit.. neediness, as if he was that cool.
Smoking an entire cigarette hands free makes even classical music cool
Sitka and Kuiu for my yearly Kansas hunt. I’m going to be comfortable and warm the one time a year I take a week off to hunt.
"You are Citadel Men, you have no pension for failure, you wear the Ring, you never let a friend down, you will be good fathers, husbands, and leaders in the armed forces and industry, you are strong in heart, body, and mind. You protect such things as Honor and Fidelity. Your virtues matter not only in wealth, but in the richness of family, you are the last of the knights."

Footpowder, moleskin, and/ or bandaids for blister care. That is a must have if you are going to be walking a lot of miles. Having your feet break down and not having a way to manage that will be tough.
