    They are the real deal but I don’t think you can legally have one on an AR pistol.
    I take an PLB in the shower with me. Can't ever be too safe.

    You can. The confusion’s understandable though. There are so many nit picky gun laws, it’s hard to keep up with all of them. Screw the NFA.

    What it does affect is how you measure the overall length of the pistol. Instead of being measured from muzzle to end of receiver extension/buffer tube, it’s measured from muzzle to adapter.

    The only thing I’ve read is that it adds about 2 inches to length of pull which must remain under 13.5 inches. Overall length must be less than 26” which won’t be an issue.

    Just wondering if anyone has experience with them.

    Mine has been 100%. It makes my AR pistol a nice package that fits into a backpack.
