    Default Burnt Pot

Managed to burn up a pot of peanuts last night. Any cleaning tips that will save a trip to Williams Sonoma?

No help after the fact, but had a friend whose dad used to always cover his in dawn detergent before the cook and said the soot would wash right off. Never tried it.

Spray it with Easy-Off heavy duty oven cleaner and let it sit a little while. Wear gloves.

It's not enough to simply tolerate the 2nd Amendment as an antiquated inconvenience. Caring for the 2nd Amendment means fighting to restore long lost rights.

Pretty sure he boiled off his water and fried the inside of the pot.

Just leave it in the sink and your wife will take care of it.

I did that with a pot of collards. I was cooking them on my grill side burner and forgot about them until the next morning. The collards were nothing but crispy flakes of pure carbon. It was my wife's big stainless stockpot. I used a 1/4" air die grinder with a wire cup brush and a flap wheel sander for the tough spots. The pot had been so hot that the bonded base started to separate.
