    solid stain then rattle can your stupid digital camo or stencil a bunch of oversized teefs in random colors

    Paint called DTM. Its what they paint exterior shutters with.

    Most wood is brown and by my observation it's a common color found in nature.

    Thompson water sealer sprayed on with a hand sprayer has worked well for me over the years. Spray the box stands every year.

    should i listen to a cat vet or someone who runs 137 commercial painting crews?

    or a tent guy? come on.

    i want to preserve the wood and increase its life span. if i happen to make it look cool, that works too

    Mistint rack at Lowe’s. $9/gallon. Look for exterior paint. Paint the stand with that. Hit it with a rattle can brush job after should your heart desire.
