    no...i'm not taking it to stump


    whats the best paint/stain/sealer for a wooden deer stand? i dont understand the uses for satin/acrylic/latex/whatever....

    i want to preserve a wooden stand/box blind and maybe even "camo" it a little.

    The deer can't tell if its preserved or painted with Project Source or Rust-oleum

    I use rattle can black and brown from...., (gasp) .....Walmart. Ninety-9 cents a can. It seems to do the trick.

    But I hear if you stencil it with Sitka patterning you kill bigger deer and take cooler pictures for social media

    Sherwin Williams, Woodscapes. It’s a solid stain. Meaning it penetrates the wood like a stain would, but has a solid color. The color will fade with time, but it won’t peel, crack or flake off.

    Solid hide stain as stated above, no primer need and it does indeed soak in.
