We limited but none big. Ended up with about 15-20 on the day, 6 in the box. Had fun with a mixed bag and a lot of shorts. Went where the bait had been thick for two weeks around North Inlet and couldn’t find it other than tucked right on the beach. Found out it was all on the south side. We’ll get it next time. Dang RH’s are thick this year, we’ve probably caught 30 in the last 3 trips. Best fun of the day was watching my boy play with the bonito on a slow pitch rod.

Had two schools of tuna blow up hounding bait off the bow but never had a shot on either. Solid fish though, hard to get off anchor by the time they were gone.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Got a late start for a number of reasons that we won't go in to. Headed out of Big Bay Creek at noon. Ran out to 90'. Plenty of small ARS (4 came home), my sons 1st trigger, and a few of the usual suspects. Not the 1st BSB which seemed odd. Fished a couple of hours and made the run back in to beat the storms.

Beautiful ocean that made my wife happy. Fun day.

Would a Rhodan "spot lock" work for your boat. It is damned nice not to drop anchor.

Yep, $4k is a lot to drop on a TM though for an occasional chance at something like that. We’re pretty good and efficient at setting and pulling anchor. Hell, I’m frugal, my electronics are 13 years old but still work.
