Weekend outside.
Been cooped up since the beginning of 2020, and it wasn’t because of a pandemic, or anything else current events related. My fiancé and I are getting married the 25th of this month (rain or shine) and at the beginning of the year we made the decision to relocate spring 2021 (we already have a house and live together) and have since put other things aside to save money for a home we can be proud of and raise a family in a location we would have both enjoyed to grow up in. With all this ensuing I made the decision to sell my center console this past winter (resulting in weekends spent at home). Well a buddy from work who owns a key west, but doesn’t fish too often, mentioned he wanted to go wet a line. So we spent the day out on the water, caught some short flounder, caught a few that made it to the grease, drank a few beers, had a few laughs, and at the end of the day I realized how important it is to get out and enjoy yourself. Do something you enjoy. Enjoy god’s creation. Don’t get worked up by the crap going on in the world today. You don’t have to go 200 miles into the woods to escape the television or social media.
A fish bites 2 times a day, right before I get to the water, and as soon as my boat gets back on the trailer.
