    Default 2020 Ford F-350 4x4 dually 6.7 Power Stroke?

Anyone own one? I’m looking at two of them right now. Both optioned very similarly and both with the 10 speed transmission. One has the 4.10 rear end and the other has the 3.55 rear end. I’ll be using it to tow a 17,000lb fifth wheel and while I know both will get the job done with no issues I’m wondering what the difference will be in fuel mileage when I’m not towing. This will also be my daily driver so if the 3.55 is substantially better on fuel when I’m not towing then I’ll probably go that route. From what I’ve read most of these trucks get between 14 and 17mpg when not towing anything.

    What says the braintrust here?

If it was me unless you pulling something everyday I would go with the 3.55.

    My 6.7 got 16mpg on average with 3.55’s. All 4 of the POS Duramax’s I’ve had average 16.5mpg with the 10spd and 3.42. My 6.7L CTD’s averaged 18mpg with 3.73 and a 6spd.

Go buy a 7.3L gas with the 4.30 and 10spd, save 10k and $0.50/gal and a lot of headaches unless you plan to put 300k on the odometer. Yeah, you’ll probably get 13-14mpg daily but it’ll be reliable, easy to work on and cheaper to replace than a turbo.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Is the 7.3 built on an existing platform?

There’s a new 7.3 out these days that is available in the 2020 Superduty lineup

Old technology on a new block? New air and fuel systems? New 10 speed trans that has already shown problems?

Where you reading about 7.3L having problems or with a 10spd tied to it. Only thing I’ve read is positive.

I am asking. About the engine, specifically.

Haven’t heard of any issues. I talk to everyone I see with one to find out and not one person has had a negative comment. Most have been glad to get away from the diesels they’d had.

I ordered mine Monday, F350 CC LWB Lariat, 7.3l w/ 4.30 and 10spd. Taking it to 5 star for a tune and MBRP exhaust upgrade one I get it.

After this last fiasco with this hunk of shit GM, I’m done with diesel. Only diesel I’d own right now would be a Cummins but that truck’s just butt ugly.

I have a 2019 F250 SRW with the 6 speed tranny and I love it!! I had 2 GMC's before this Ford, but when looking at new ones I decided to switch to Ford.

    Go with the 4.10 gear

Run from 10 speed, least for another year and let them get it figured out.
    More fuel = more boost!!
