    Default Breaking new water.....

So for the most part I have been out of the skinny water game since Jane was born. Sold the skiff, and moved into a bigger boat to accommodate young children.
She has been casting 7 weight and tying flies the last couple of weeks. We spent the last two afternoons pushing around in the short grass,..... watching her make the connection and come tight on her first tailing fish yesterday was pretty Epic!
She said she wants to catch one more on the spinning rod and then try the fly ...
I think there will be another poling skiff in my near future if she has anything to do with it!

The very existence of flame-throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.

Badassedness. Watching that ride yesterday and not being able to fish really sucked.

    Too cool.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Nothing better than watching these kids get it and become obsessed with the outdoors.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
