    Default Model 12s

This one has been in my family a long time. My Grandpa bought it new in 1936. Just a field model 20 gauge. 28’’ Modified. Been a few birds killed with her. Let’s see some of the SC Ducks model 12s...Gutpile? JAB.. don’t hold out on me...

Thought maybe some Walnut and Blue Steel would be a nice departure from the news of the day...

This was my grandfather's. According to the gunsmith I use, it was made around the middle of 1913.

    Yes Sir! That's a dandy.

I got to watch GP shoot his Grandpa's M12 one day.. It was interesting.

    I love those shotguns.

I have to admit to being a little bit of a poser on this one...I got this Browning remake of the Model 12 in 28 gauge for Little Rubberhead when he was 6 weeks old. I drove him down to Smith & Smith Gunshop in Charleston to pick it up. He's used it some growing up and hates it...haha... so I borrowed it during the 2016 teal season...

Mine, made in 1951. Never shot it, but it is still just a tight of an action as a new gun.

I'll dig mine out and take a pic later.

Mine has no sentimental value. Just one I bought off a guy that needed some money.

I've whacked a few ducks and doves with it but it's mostly a safe queen.

My buddy Keith took over Tuffy's old Model 12. It graced my gun safe with its presence for a couple weeks while they worked some things out. Tank of firearm.

My Grandpa was a Model 12 fiend. He had quite a few. My Dad was the oldest of eight. He kept two of FJ's M12s. The rest went to his siblings and are all long gone. Sold cheap I'm sure. I have the 20 and Grandpa's heavy duck ( which I used to kill my first Longbeard with in 1978). I love those guns for many reasons. The HD is still in good condition. The 20 was sent to Nu-Line Guns when we lived in Missouri to be reblued which it needed. The stock needs to be refinished, but I doubt I will have that done. Just a bunch of honest wear .

I intend to hunt with it some this year. Last time I took it to South Dakota, it worked well on Pheasants.
