Thinking about a big seafood boil and fry. Still trying to figure out what everyone wants to do.

We’re taking slaw and sweet corn to a gathering. Don’t know what else they have on the menu. I may make my one day famous, tomato pies.

Basically the same thing.. we've got our silver queen in the swamp ready right now. It's all I can do not to go down there and start eating it off the cob. I'll pick some Friday and put in the cooler for Saturday.. you probably know, but once it's picked it'll start converting to starch if not chilled. I got my personal fill of mater pies this past week, I might make some for our small crowd. Home grown maters are special to me.

Yeah, once it’s picked you’re on the clock. I broke a few ears Friday evening and ate in the field. It was divine.

Harris Teeter has some nice butts so one will be turned into BBQ with sweet corn and mountain maters. Cuz brought a big sack of shrimpboat shrimp up that would make Bubba proud that will be worked in as well...

After the amount of BBQ I'm gonna cook this week I hope to not be anywhere near a grill/pit for a few days.

Grouper and scallops in a lemon dill sauce Friday. Picked up a Boston Butt to Smoke Saturday. Pork roast for traditional Sunday dinner.

Our south Georgia sweet corn was ready 3 weeks ago. Put up (family) 450 quarts of creamed corn. Kroger had butts on sale last week for .99 / lb

I request the title of this thread be corrected to Independence Day, the 4th is like Happy Holidays.
