    Default Tps

    I have a 04 Dodge 2500 hemi 5.7 4wd

My throttle position sensor light has started coming on again pretty frequently. (Red lightning bolt)

I have called and asked/googled and my findings show that my truck doesn't have said sensor.

Research led me to turning key on press has pedal slowly to floor then release same speed to reset.
Have tried this several times and no change for better.

When light starts flashing while going down road I can put in neutral shut truck off and crank it right back up and it goes away for awhile.

Anyone had this issue and found a fix?

What codes does it have? If you haven’t scanned it and it’s not fly by wire (actually has throttle cable) then remove idle air control valve (IAC) and clean it free of gunk or replace it. Also you can replace the intake air temp sensor. Truck has a throttle position sensor you have to find it. My money is on the IAC.

Scan it and get me the codes or if you want to throw parts at go in this order

    1) IAC
    2) Intake air temp sensor
    3) TPS
    More fuel = more boost!!
