    Default Steering column holster

All of this craziness got me thinking. Who makes a good holster for 2013 F350?

Not sure it's legal. Without a CCW, a handgun must be in a closed glove compartment, closed console compartment or closed trunk in SC. With a CCW, I think it has to be concealed on your person if not in one of the previously mentioned compartments but I'm not sure. I remember there was discussion years ago if a CCW holder could have a gun under his seat.

I didn’t think those holsters were legal here in SC per our gun laws, even with a CWP.

I put my Shield in the sticky holster between my seat and the center console by my right side- stays put and instant access. Can't be seen from outside when seat is occupied. When I get out it goes in my waistband. If I got pulled, I would drop it in the armrest.

Alien gear makes one that I’m thinking about trying that is a mount for a removable holster. That way someone doesn’t look in the window and see a holster, they just see some bracket.

I have a owb kydex holster screwed to the back of my center console, I just keep a hat over it to somewhat conceal it.

Your pistol needs to be attached to your body. In a holster.

I’ve thought about magnets, but I bounce around a lot in my truck. I’d be nervous, it would move around, or I’d bump it with my body, and end up looking at a barrel.

You don’t need a pistol, most people’s worst fear is the dentist.

Under-the-steering-column holsters are not legal in SC per SLED. Just FYI
