Saltwater fish are great eating and fight to the death. Figuring out spots with the tides and when and where the fish will be is fun. The feeling of that salt marsh air on your skin and the smell of the saltwater is addicting. The thrill of not knowing what you might catch is great. But the best-90% of places you will saltwater fish will have very little recreational boating going on.

I hate "bull" redfish. Any spottail over 35 inches is a female.

Get a bucket full of fiddler crabs and go tie up to some pylons.

Sheepshead are gonna be the best to your liking.

Trout are wonderful but mid summer they tend to be small in any significant numbers.

    Fall is a different story.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

i find it funny all the gross generalizations....
    fresh vs salt
    warm vs cold

I like to fish. I like to eat fish. I like to catch and release fish. I dont like to go offshore when a canoe and a paddle make me very happy.

And JOHNSON gave me some dolphin.

A bream will fight as hard as any critter I know.
Ugh. Stupid people piss me off.

Toof, you need to make the trip the glades and wear your forearm out on 2lb oscars.

I’m not sure there is much more fun to be had in a jonboat.

always wondered why people target them when you know they will be over slot...by a lot. you can get your money's worth fitting slot and under slot spot tails on light tackle. but hey you can post a pic on fb. don't tell me you are concerned about the fishery and then go to the grillage and jetties to try for a 40 incher

The smell of salty air is the allure for me but I'm from the upstate. The Absolute best-tasting fish is a Walleye but only slightly to a mess of crappie!

The best tasting freshwater fish is a wild brook trout.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
