How does whatever he did up to the point of interaction with the cops matter? The cop didn't know he was a blood or any of that stuff, nor did it matter AT THAT POINT. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't dude sleeping?
And to be clear, I think the shooting was justified. Just don't get how the other stuff matters in context.
