Default Will we have Football this year

I know it is way early but anyone have concerns at this point of no football this coming season

No spring practices or workouts right now so unless COVID19 does not slow down I could see it as a possibility

Hate that for these kids more than anything

Yes there will be college football this year. If not, the south may burn.

I'm a little more concerned about the economy and the actual events occurring right now ... I can honestly say I don't give a shit about football season.

If not, things will be really bad. Football funds every other sport in high school & college. It's the most expensive sport to put on but it brings in the most $$$.

Football is waaaay down on the list of my concerns. Actually, it doesn't even register. But then again, as a SC fan, a called off season would probably be a blessing.

What I was thinking about when posting this

If we think economy is bad now if something happens and no football it could really be in the tank and would take years to recover

Basketball is much more of a money generator at all colleges, even the ones on the south. TV contracts are more for basketball and the overhead is much less.

I will admit I was wrong. Revenues for both sports have changed drastically since I researched the issues over 10 years ago.

Where did you get this info. From what I see 70+% of college sports revenue comes from football, with ALL other sports combined generating 30% or less.

ETA-never mind, I see that you woke up.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home. -Tecumseh-

Calm down man, no way I am making light of the current situation of our country.

Just wondering this thing will interrupt things on into late summer and fall.

Putting faith in the leaders of our country to get this thing behind us and back to “normal”
