    Jim Thorpe

Everybody else is fighting for second place. A distant second place.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some Vincent "Bo" Jackson and my solid 2nd place pick. Greatest player every paid to play at Auburn and he earned every cent.

But he's T-ball compared to Thorpe.

The problem with Jim Thorpe is you have to rely on the media to get a picture of who he was. I saw Bo with my own eyes. I also saw Deion with my own eyes. Great? Absolutely. Greatest? Almost, but he’s no Bo.

Oh yeah, Bo all around is up there for me. I used to show my son videos all the time of him, just so he'd know. and who around my age doesn't remember Bo in tecmo bowl.

I'm pretty sure we just became not friends. I now consider you an enemy combatant. And a traitor to the people of the plains.

No person who's the greatest at one sport should ever be considered the greatest by virtue of playing JUST that one sport.

And for the record, a swimmer was just compared to the likes of Michael Jordan, Bo Jackson and Jim Thorpe. Let that marinate.
