    Default Golf bag recommendations

So long story short my 25 year old Ping Hoofer has seen its better days. Whats a good bag now a days that fits the bill as this one has but isn’t going to break the bank. I usually ride when playing but like stand bags for going back and forth to the range and such. I have been looking at Titleist bags since thats pretty much what all my clubs are. What says the brain trust?

I'm like a 4 handicap, there are several guys that can take my money on here in straight golf... but I do make it look good.

Sun Mountain and Ping make 90% of the bags sold. Sun mountain sells to Titleist, Cobra, and other companies who just slap their logo on it. My $.02, Titleist or Sun Mountain. I'm bias I was on staff with Titleist for 15 years.

Just go to the PGA store and find one that you like.

I got a Titleist bag a couple months ago, it's been great so far. I usually walk with a push cart but ride occasionally.

I had a set of Coppers that I wish I never got rid of many years ago. I do still have a set of Eye2 Plus/No+ put up that may very well get buried with me.

It's funny not too long ago I checked looked back on ebay to see if I could find a semi matching lob wedge.. Not many, I guess maybe Tom Kite was one of the first, but as teenagers no one carried a 60ish. I didnt either until I started back playing the second time. And I saw the price of that thing. Mine are in pretty solid shape. I dont know how much they're worth, but I couldn't sell them anyways. I put new grips on them after I played them for the last time, and put them in my old bag.

My son was going back and forth trying to find a wedge he liked last year. I didnt give him the sand wedge out of the coppers, but the one from my regular set. He kinda made fun of it until one of the college players at our place walked over to his bag and picked over it. It was instantly cool then.

I've always had Ping bags, my son carried a cheaper Titleist before he took my last hoofer. But.. I saw and bought one of these Titleist bags last year, it's a step up, and I like it. I walk every now and again, by myself, typically late afternoon. I'm just not ready, and doubt I'll ever be ready for a cart bag.

I had four in there yesterday.. we were going through a transition on our greens, and my old blade gave way to a fastback. They're picking up speed now. My putting wasnt where I wanted Tuesday.

I've had those now for over a couple years now, they're generation 1s, nippon modus 120s. I like them. I actually bounced around, those were after an ap2 and tmb combo.
