I like the Duck Tales and Snoopy rod & reel combos I’ve already got from when I would take the neighbor’s kids out fishing. Now they’re handy to take to use on slow duck hunts in quiet coves.

I’ve have a Shimano Ultegra on a St Croix I really like. Also have a Lews that was inexpensive on a shimano rod that I like.

Lews are what we use, more than a couple times each year.

In this case I thought your childish followers might appreciate that their suggestions aren’t new.

As for you, 2th, when are you going to grow up enough to quit stalking me? I’ve already told you I don't ‘swing your way’. And to think that you started this personal feud because I disagreed with your opinion on Fluoride... damn, what a sorry example of maturity.

I was just reading a review on them and they look good for my application of occasional use.

    Thanks for the ideas, gentlemen.

I was glad to make some legit recommendations but at the same time I would’ve been disappointed had sportin not chimed in.

Hope you find a reel you like

I'm not a fan of anything Daiwa, especially their fishing equipment. Those 13 Fishing Creed K reels are the best bang for the buck I've ever found. I have several that are a few years old and they get used quite a bit. One even takes a beating that only a 7 year old can dish out and they are all still going strong.

Out of curiosity, what ruined your opinion of them?

I bought my a son a H20 express the other day from academy and it's pretty dang nice and it won't break the bank either. And for the record, it has a lifetime guarantee.

It’s definitely preferred, but which, if any, medium weight freshwater spinning reeks are made in America? I haven’t yet had the time to research them all.

The diawa bg is a great reel too. IMO though they are much better suited for fishing with bait rather than throwing lures. The one I have is great, but I’d never choose that over my Stradic or Sahara for throwing artificials.
