    Default Sights

Want to upgrade my Marlin Guide Gun sights. Would like to keep iron sights and not go the glass route, but am open to suggestions.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

Look at XS sights. Their ghost rings are pretty sweet in a lever rifle

Either Williams, Lyman or Redfield receiver sight.

I always thought a classic setup would be a brass ghost ring rear aperture with a brass or gold bead front.

I had a set of XS on mine. Great set of sights, but a fiber optic front would be better in low light. I switched to a fixed 4x with heavy a heavy duplex.

Look at skinner sights. They are great for any distance you're going to shoot something with a 30-30 (ie less than 100 yards). I have the winged peep sight on mine.
