    Fill with gas
    Close lid
Light a paper towel on fire
    Place on lid
    FaceTime a biologist
    Shoot the jar

I’ve heard labs take them and milk the venom for research. I think they even use it for cancer research. I wish I knew how to donate them for that purpose. I’d start saving them instead of killing them.

A fellow comes by our club in March and April and catches them under old car hoods. Said he gives the copperheads to MUSC I believe. Anyways wherever he gives them, they use the venom for cancer. His mother was dying from cancer and she was on a clinical trial that used the venom. I haven’t gotten the entire story from him but apparently he promised his mother he would catch as many as he can to donate.

I killed one about dark last night driving out from coyote hunting. He was nasty. Struck at me right away. Haven't had much dealing with these in the past as I've only killed a handful. I don't know if I just got out on a mean one or what.

Killed one w the truck yesterday on the way to the ramp and two cottonmouths while running the cache. Saw close to 50 cotton mouths. Funnel clouds Friday -thankfully not touching down. We had some good size hail out west. Drove from there to the mountain house in NC today and as soon as I pull up it starts hailing. Been an interesting past couple days.
