    Default Old Button

Thought yall might like to see an old South Carolina Civil War uniform button that I found while metal detecting. This is the second one that I have found in the last 2 months. This one cleaned up pretty nicely.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

No. The other was a 2-piece flat button found about 4-500 yards away.

Cool. A search of Horstmann indicates they were based in Philadelphia.

Yes, if you look closely, it says "PHIL" on the bottom, under Horstmann.

Nice find. I have only found one of those. Found more war of 1812 era buttons than civil war oddly enough.
