Independency from foreign oil has been great in this regard. Can you imagine the price of a gallon of gasoline after all these storms back when we allowed OPEC to control the price of oil at a whim? Vote wisely...

I am trying to figure out why I am not reading about boats hitting large new islands of gravel down in the lakes of SC. Every time I put a load out it sure as hell washes away somewhere...

Power out over here. Winds gusting to 55. Trees down everywhere. It was a sporty ride to the office.

I'm really just wanting to get 18 in today without the need of rain shit. wind is no bother, I've been practicing stingers now since social media informed me that it was cool.

So far still power here in Anderson but steady 30mph winds.

Daughter lives 10 min from us, they lost power few minutes ago.

Woke up to a loud thunder like thump at 530. Decent sized limb on the house from what I can tell. Hope it didn't screw anything up.

Woman says the yard is trashed and some shingles are off the roof. Could have been much worse.

Power lines down and power out in Fair Play. All good when I rolled out at 5:30. Sporty ride in to work. My wife texted me at 7:30 while she was firing up the generator to get the innerwebernet going for my son who is elearning today...
