I know someone who makes them with roasted peanuts and they are good. He makes them for Ashley Ridge High School to sell at football games. Uses roasted because he can get them easily year around. He's perfected it.

Pro Tip: Add a little Meat Tenderizer to the pot.

    What is "a little"?

And by "lot of salt" are we talking a box or 2 boxes or what?

3 hours at a simmer with water and salt, in a covered pot.

Then let them sit for a spell. I'll let them cool off a tad from the simmer and eat, but they'll pick up flavor and texture from the soak.

I don't add anything else. I like to eat peanuts that taste like peanuts.

1# of salt to 4# of green peanuts. Don’t over complicate shit. Cook 4-5 hrs or until consistency of your choice. Cut off pot and let sit in brine.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.
