    Default Lake Wylie catfish

What is the go to bait? My wife has decided she likes to fish all of a sudden. I will test that this weekend as we will be at my dad's this weekend. He lives at the back of cove on Little Allison so we will be dock fishing. He has a few docks and two creeks that feed on each edge of the property so there is a pretty steady run of smaller channels and blues that are circling into the shallows. I have always used stink bait, chicken livers, or blood worms and catch a decent amount. Never had much luck on cut bait. So what else?

Find you some Triple S Channel Cat blood bait and some of the rubber ribbed catfish baits and prepare to reel. That stuff is by far the best bait I've ever used for Channel Cats. Get the occasional small Blue as well. Caught 29 by myself in 2 hours Sunday.

Live white perch for the bigger flat heads. There are some big ones in that lake.

I fish out of little Allison quite a bit. Like others have mentioned I’ve had good luck on cut up brim. I’ve also had good luck with shrimp. But I’ll tell ya, if you want to catch a cooler full of channel cats. Get you some Sonny’s stink bait.
