I’m inclined to call this post bullshit, but in an attempt to be less judgemental, as pointed out above by some random democrat, I’ll follow you down the path of catching “a” fish offshore.

Last Wednesday was a prime example. Anyone and everyone that has a boat was out there. Most in the same general area. Some were catching, some weren't.

That is why I would say it's a combination of time and money. The guys not catching fish were most likely the weekend warriors that only get to go 5-10 times a year. Not many people are able to spend the time offshore fishing to develop the nuanced skills to catch fish in every situation, but they can still catch fish. I believe some guys are able to figure it out better than others, but most people that spend significant time outdoors will be pretty successful over time.
