We utilize a tecomate mix that we have really come to like. It is Tecomate Max Attract and it is advertised as a three season plot. It is a mix of annual and perennial clovers, chicory, winter peas and cereal grains. We plant in late September and it will produce food thru July (in form of clovers from February to July). We tried every summer plot you can think of but they would just get hammered. Came to realize that for the cost and prep time of one planting, having food in our plots for 9/12 months of the year couldn’t be beat. We get our seed via a bulk order from Barrons every year, although I’m sure you could create the mix yourself for less $$.
