    Default Shell cracker help

Me and my son are in Sparkleberry right now and have finished about 3000 trees in yet to catch a shell cracker. Am I that bad of a fisherman or does that cold snap move them back out?

Use worms almost touching bottom for the crackers.

Trace dug up about 100 worms this morning in the backyard. I didn’t see much grace but fished what I saw.

You went to Santee and didn’t see saw grass?? You had to have your eyes closed LOL. Slip cork with red worms on the bottom.

That is great. We dig worms, I even raised some and we would mow grass to catch crickets.

Shell crackers don't eat crickets - usually but I'm sure there's an occasional exception.

    1. I feel defeated. Water was a lot colder than I thought it would be. Depth finder was reading 65.

I was in the same situation last weekend Bobby. Saturday afternoon I took my kids out on Murray in some spots I have caught them before and got skunked. Also got skunked on Plans B,C,andD.

I felt bad because my girls wanted to catch something.

Hell we could even catch anything around the dock brushpiles when we got back to the in-laws ramp.

I chalked it up to lockjaw with the weather change....?

I’m going with weather change as well. That was the first time I have been to Sparkleberry. It was still worth the trip.

Not if you found some good grass beds. Not bad after chasing turkeys first thing in the morning and letting the crowd thin out.
