    Default Pasture grass/weed ID?

What do y’all think this is?

Closest I could find was Tall Fescue but I’m still not 100%.

This is part of a field I used to plant but haven’t in a year or so. Last time I messed with it, I just turned the dirt over and was never able to get back to it. This is what was in the seed bank and has flat out take taken over this part of the field.

In this first picture the two seed head strips are actually torn off from the top of the plant to the left.

I didn’t even think about it being ryegrass.

    Default Pasture grass/weed ID?

    Thanks fellas.

I wonder if it came in with some of my wheat or oat seeds in years past or was just dormant in the seedbank until I disturbed it?

I just spent a while reading up on it. Sounds like I have my work cut out for me in order to get rid of it.

Probably in some cheap wheat or oats in years past.... It's pretty much in all of my fields.

What are you looking to plant in the field/pasture?
