Your boat has either an airbrushed mural or lightning bolts on its sides. No doubt.

Nope but it does have a 15 year old camo paint job. My hull is on its second trailer and 3rd motor.

Pulled all the old wiring out this afternoon, picking up perko switch, charging relay and some other stuff tomorrow.
Made a bracket to fit the t-rail that will hold a piece of pvc under the gunnels. The pipe will be painted black and fits nicely under the gunnel and will give me a large and clear raceway to pull wires

Here's what I did in the duck boat and big boat. The duck boat is Blue Sea switches - I used double throw switches because of space limitations. I used New Wire Marine switches on the fishing boat because they are labeled so my kids and wife can use them. The switches are set in Blue Sea switch holders.

I’ll be rewiring mine soon. I understand each smaller circuit (bilge, lights, etc...) will be fused but should I also have a main fuse for each battery?

Yes - otherwise stand the risk of your boat on fire while all you can do is watch...

I have been using these for mail fuses...

    https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Syst...%2C152&sr=8-14

but they are bulky and expensive (although I've never had a single problem with them in many, many years)...I'm planning on switching the duck boat to these that attach right to the battery terminals...less bulky but not much cheaper but one less wire run and better overall protection.

I need to rewire my boats and use something like these. Looks like you have to purchase fuses for these separately. They run about $13/piece.

You got to be running some serious shit on a jon boat to need a 30 amp main circuit fuse.

That's for the main fuse from the battery to the fuse panel.

I know. But what all do you have hooked to your accessories panel that’s going to pull 30 amps on a Jon boat? Considering all are running at one time.

    From the ABYC manual...
