It’ll be fun to watch. Hopefully...
I’ll miss the azaleas and dogwoods but if fall colors can be had I’ll appreciate it nonetheless. I hate it’s postponed. I have been enjoying some 9’s with the beautiful weather.

This thread has nothing to do with football.

They control the green speed at Augusta National by computer.
Under the green is plumbing, sensors, drains, under ground vacuum system and mechanical blowers.
The only visible piece is the vent for the underneath blower and vacuum system. The vents can be seen right off the
    green if you look close.
It's high tech under that grass, fact
They often adjust the greens at the end of a day of play depending on the players feedback.

    Wishful thinking on the rescheduling.

    The Open canceled.

I mean the temps aren't far off, but calling November temps close to April temps in the south is just f'n strange. Ten degrees, take that as an average.. Take hitting a ball, or how about walking around in your underwear outside on a November morning.. now think of a spring morning it the south.

Sub air is a beautiful thing. I don't think they talk to the players about green speed. The committee has more knowledge and experience then the USGA.

    EVERYBODY knows that.

I wasn't sure what they'd do with the grass. I heard this morning it'll be overseeded. That will lengthen it compared to a normal November fairway.. at least the places I play.

It’s always over seeded. The only time they allow play is fall/winter/spring. Weather will dictate how how early they can seed it and how thick it will be when they play it I would think, unless they use their deep state climate control contacts to influence it

It was a discussion this morning about it on xm.. Kisner said he was hoping for dryer Bermuda.. rolling balls out, kind of a different way of playing it. He said that would have given him a better chance. But they said it would be overseeded so of course they'll be laying water to it, softening everything up. We used to overseed greens years back, they looked good, but the transition time was funky. I'm pretty used to winter greens now.. if you get any warmth that mini verde will kick up a tad.

Doesn't matter much to me, it will still be beautiful.

I'll watch, and I wish I was watching the final round tomorrow on Easter Sunday.. but we still have Easter. Rain tomorrow, so be it.. A day where we will still rise.
