QUOTE:Businesses to be closed include gyms, spas, nightclubs, barber shops, hair salons, tattoo parlors, waxing salons, fitness centers, bowling alleys, arcades, racetracks, indoor children’s play areas, theaters, planetariums, museums and performing arts centers, the source said. (ADD BOAT RAMPS)

It does not apply to grocery stores, drug stores, pharmacies and other businesses deemed essential. Take out orders from restaurants and window orders from fast food restaurants will still be allowed, the source said. Big box stores such as WalMart and Target, which sell groceries and drugs, will be allowed to stay open.

Then what’s really changed? Most of those places have already closed

Restrictions of movement. Wait until only x amount of people are allowed in a store at a time.

Government is going to save us from ourselves I guess. Wonder how long this will last? It's been working really well in New York.

The slow bleed. If he's going to do this why not do it two weeks ago? People's patience is thinning and (hopefully) we are pushing on the other side of this thing and NOW he's coming up with new restrictions that won't have near the effect they would have in the beginning. Am I crazy here? Genuinely asking.

Guess we'll see whether the government thinks those are essential or merely for leisure.

In my opinion this is him or the state saying...please listen to us so we don’t have to take more extreme measures. And folks are not listening so they are tightening up.

It won’t happen, but they could do like the old blue law Sundays, and have sections of the store shut off and not open for business

The paychecks those nonessential jobs get are pretty essential to paying bills.

That's what most stores here are doing. They tried to close all gun stores but trump deemed gun stores essential, so they are staying open, however are limiting the amount of people inside, and offering curbside service for online orders. Home Depot in my town is limiting the number of people inside. Still no shit paper and Lysol at Walmart.

Nothing is going to change for the most part except the stupid idiots that are getting ready to flock to the grocery tonight and tomorrow morning b/c they don't understand that they CAN leave their house during all this.

My commute is getting shorter everyday. Gone from 45 to 30 minutes. It'll be 20-25 minutes by Thursday.
