    Default Cheese Grits

I love cheese grits, but I have never made any. Is there anything special to making them or do you just melt cheese into grits??

You’ll need water, salt, grits and cheese of choice. Oh and heat.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I like a little heavy cream right at the end, just a touch.

Grits, water, milk, heavy cream, butter, sharp cheddar, a smidge of salt. It's all depending on if these are breakfast grits or dinner grits, maybe brunch..

Like I'd trust most of these people to cook proper grits. they're probably opening up some quick grits and throwing hoop cheese in there..

People that use quick grits would be using government cheese.

Are we really back on boiling water in here? I mean, it doesn't surprise me or anything. I'm pretty sure there's a youtube video that covers this.

The first step is Geechie Boy Mill Jimmy Red grits. I make them as per the instructions on the bag but finish with half a block of cream cheese, half a cup of heavy whipping cream, a little salt to taste, and then add in the sharp cheddar once you've spooned your serving onto your plate. That's for a 3-4 serving pot of grits.

It's pretty complicated, better stick to the gas station cheese grits.

Yep, well depends on what I'm eating them with.. If people aren't cooking all lazy like you can build a nice consistency with constant stirring. I will richen them up though.
