Default Getting fields ready ; leftover corn?

I started discing up my dove fields this week. I still had standing corn until a few weeks ago when I mowed down a bunch of it. Before I plant, should I wait for the volunteer corn to pop up and hit it with herbicides or just wait and disc again (and again)?

I'll be going back with corn and sunflowers again but swapping where the alternate strips were last year to try to rotate crops somewhat. I expect that the Metolachlor that I use as post-emergent for the sunflowers will kill the volunteer corn. If herbicide is the way to go, what should I use to kill volunteer round-up ready corn sprouts where I plan to plant corn later?

Since you are rotating, Poast plus will kill the volunteer corn and not hurt the sunflowers. Last year sunflowers strips shouldn't be a problem.
