Quack - wherever you choose to stay, there will be bedding fish if you time it around a full or new.
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

We always called it sawgrass. It lives up to its name and will cut the living shit out of you or a retriever's paws.

Imho,....I would look for large patches of cut/saw grass. They will be there when the bed. The video is the best evidence of what you should do. I've observed them getting killed in Potato Creek ,Taw Caw, and the Cow Pasture. You don't have to go to the stump filled areas of the lake.

Went brimp fishing with a friend in his Nitro. We were up near the railroad trestle and got skunked. Decided to call it a day, put the rods up and settled in to the chair. He was just about on plane, tree was floating longways about 2 feet under the water. Hit right about where the seats went across the boat solid on the keel and cracked the bottom of the boat clear across. We limped back to the ramp with the bilge pump blasting. Didn’t really find out what happened until it was back on the trailer with water coming out the bottom of the boat.

First trip and last trip in the same day.

I think the boat was totaled.

Is it terrible that I grinned when I read your story?

Nope. I don’t like Nitro boats neither.
