Lowcountry Lift?

My son got married in Pawleys Island last weekend.

While cruising up and down 17, I saw 3 trucks that looked like they had lifted the front of the truck and a LOWERED the back end. At first I thought someone was hauling ton of quikrete, but these trucks did not look like work trucks. Is this something new? So far I have not seen it in the mountains- I figured it was a beach thing. Wish I had gotten a picture for the camera safari thread.
