I eat my share of beef but don't particularly like to look at slaughterhouse videos of cows getting killed. You may have learned to ignore your empathy instinct but not everyone else has.

I'll do my part to lower the coyote population but not because I'm mad at them or hate them. It'd piss me off if one ate my dog or cat but I wouldn't blame it on a coyote for doing what it naturally does. I might go on jihad against them but not out of anger. Hate plays no part in my pest control.

Trapping is brutal stuff. Hunting and fishing are also but most folks get acclimated to it by slow exposure from childhood. Trapping is something most folks don't have to see face to face. Why on earth would you think it's a good idea to make those pictures available to people that will use them against your "sport"?
Well said. Same reason I try not to ride around with dead deer in plain view.

It’s not the Anti’s we need to worry about. We need to be concerned about those on the fence and which side of that fence they step

Different things offend different folks. I enjoy rickys pics.

The same people that weree offended about his photos on his original posts are likely not offended by a Facebook picture of two dudes kissing. If you don't like it don't look. All this left wing new fangled bs is pushed down our throats every day, I just chose not to listen or watch it voluntarily.

I find this thread very interesting, and self telling on those of us that claim to be Sportsmen...Most of you know me and what I stand for...If I posted every picture of what I killed or trapped, it would look like a stream of never ending carnage from the sky and ground, and I could understand SOME people having an issue with that...Therefore, I self regulate what I choose for the vast public to see.

Problem I see right here is the cracks developing between what should be members of a united brotherhood of Sportsmen...If we are reduced to arguing amongst ourselves, we will all lose...If our lifestyle is ever put to a vote, were done...I prefer to stick together.

I support any legal outdoor activity, regardless of whether I like it or not, or participate in it or not.

I think people are underestimating how many folks out there see no distinction between animals and humans, in fact there's a lot out there who hold animals above humans. Look at the news cycle. Will an abused child from California make news in South Carolina? I doubt it. What about an abused dog? Worldwide. Plenty of people would jump in the water to save their dog but not another human. It's not a coincidence the rise of liberalism and animal worship are on about the same timeline. Goes back to people being disassociated with where there food comes from.

This. I’m really surprised there are so many of you who go out of your way so the fragile urbanites who turned this country upside down don’t get offended.

When hunters are defending themselves in the court of public opinion , why post a picture a suffering animal in a public medium. Share it with friends only or post a kill shot but I would have a hard time defending that picture if someone tried to debate the ethical nature of hunting. I am sure I am in a minority but could care less.

Social media will continue to cause the acceleration of the public against hunting. What once was a respectful act to quickly kill with ad little suffering as possible now has become to social media flexing contest.

Please tell me how a dog with it’s foot stuck in something is suffering? And I’m not just talking to you Dawhoo.

And for the record someone is criticizing for posting here... ccleroy should continue to share his hobby. My only issue is to a public space where you knew that exact response would happen.

One of the trappers on YouTube (Management Advantage) has a video that he published to address this exact comment. I suspect that everyone who traps has had their hand caught. I have, at least twice. I use both offset and closed jaw and have a few with light triggers. It'll surprise you but it's not painful.

Truth. You even see it on hunting forums.

Most accurate quote of the thread. I don't think anyone on here is bashing CC for what he's doing as all of us understand the need to trap these critters. The one's that seem to have their feathers ruffled the most are those of you who think it's a good idea to post these type of pictures.

It’s not about thinking it’s a good idea to post trapping pics, it’s about censorship. It’s about those who have gone soft and feel the need to self-censor traditional acts for fear of what those who support liberal agenda items such as institutionalized genocide of the unborn, the LGBTQ movement, gun control, and socialism to name a few, will do in retaliation. Stand up for yourselves and our God given rights as sportsmen, instead of hiding in the corner hoping the left doesn’t see you.

This is basically what I was trying to say. I have only trapped a few animals (all coons) but they mess their leg/paw up pretty bad trying to get out all night. I would imagine the same is true for yotes.
