Default Breakaway/kick plate opinion need help

I am getting ready to repower my Xpress 1546 boat with a new motor. My question is which manufacturer of a breakaway/kick plate is the best? I will be putting either a 40hp or 50hp short shaft tiller steer 4 stroke on my current boat and the new motor will have power tilt and trim. Traveling through the timber and other places I know that I will be hitting things and need the kick plate but not sure which manufacturer is the best one to go with. Thank you

I splurged and went with the 6" Vance with the built in hydraulic jack plate. Its probably the best money i spent when i upgraded to the new boat.

I had a Vance on my last boat. Not the breakaway and jackplate combo like Dixie mentioned, just the breakaway. No complaints at all.

Bob's launched a combo kick up/jack plate for 50hp and smaller motors. Price point proves how proud of them they are.

Delta in a nutshell: Breeding grounds + small wetlands + big blocks of grass cover + predator removal + nesting structures + enough money to do the job= plenty of ducks to keep everyone smiling!

Far as kick-up only, Bob's has those too.
