    Default Boykin Stud

First off, I am not a breeder, but do have a male Boykin of almost three years of age. He is fully registered with the Boykin Spaniel society and was given to me by a customer who was going through a divorce when the dog was 7 months old. He came from a nice family breeder in Alabama. We had recently lost our lab of 14 years, and needed a retriever so I worked with the dog, and he has become not only part of our family, but a damn fine retriever. He’s tall for a Boykin, has straight hair (no geri curl, perm etc), and damn fine looking aesthetically. He’s no field trial champ, nor has he been certified master hunter etc, but has retrieved hundreds of ducks and doves in the last three years, is steady to shot, has found several deer that weren’t shot perfectly, and even worked well with the woodcock on the few times I have taken him. Some members on here have seen this first hand. Point of this, I would like to find him a girlfriend. Not interested in a puppy, just interested in seeing his bloodline continued. Thats one ass of drake pintails
Them that don't know him won't like him, and them that do sometimes won't know how to take him

He ain't wrong, he's just different, and his pride won't let him do things to make you think he's right

How hard is it to get rid of pups? My daughter has a nice female that's 3 with some field training but isn't hunted now. She ended up with her in a situation similar to yours. I'd like to have a pup but neither of us would need or would want 10 running around. She was set on breeding her a while back but ended up buying a Brittany. How big of a litter do they normally have?

Its one of the easiest dogs to sell without papers and still get good money. You will no problem getting rid of them and making a profit.

I had Boykins growing up. He reminds me of one we had. He was a stud! Nice looking animal you have there. I wonder if they were related somehow down the line. I see it in the eyes.
