Chip caught two Saturday off HHI. They're down here too, but likely food related this time of year to have them congregated like that.

If I had to put a guess out there, I bet they are feeding on huge channel bass.

He's not a big fan of the Ocearch folks, but I can't remember if it's because they cyberscout his spots or something deeper. Since you're a shark bioloist (I think, right?), do you have an opinion on them?

It hurts my heart that I won't get to eat Frazier's collards this year.

I've been out with Ocearch on three or four expeditions, been on Chip's boat a ton. At one point Chip was going to work with Ocearch but it went south and I'm not going to go into it but it's deeper than them fishing in HH.

Ocearch has their detractors, but they've done some pretty good things as well. A lot of folks bash them, but for the wrong reasons. They do a good job of handling animals and making sure they survive the capture process and have altered their methods to make sure they don't injure them, they killed/injured a few in the early years. Now they are hyper conservative, and they miss some animals because of it. That said, there's a few things they don't do well too...

So you’re not going to deny that it was Rays.
