    Default Possible Montana Turkey Trip

    Not wanting spots but those of you that have been before how was access to public land....anything you would or wouldn’t do next time you went. I’m looking to go on the east side of the state around miles city.
    Don’t want to use a outfitter, they be expensive

    South Dakota or WY hold more birds in areas that are easier to access IMHO.

    I like to hit SD, WY, then MT.

    Never used an outfitter. Most of the people in South Eastern MT are glad just to see a human being.
    More fuel = more boost!!

    The more open the terrain, the fewer birds you will encounter. Look for timber and / or river bottoms to key your search areas. Find a dead end road on the map and park . Start walking away from the road. It's a boot leather deal.
