    Default Metal Detecting Permission

I have recently gotten into metal detecting and I am much more interested in hunting relics than I am beach hunting.
So, if any of yall have land with old building foundations or in an interesting historic location and would be willing to let me poke around, please PM me. It doesn't have to be lots of land, just a place with some history...the older, the better. I promise not to leave holes all over your property or any trash.
    Thanks.

It’s fun until you dig up the 18th shotgun shell.

If you make it to the upstate you can have free reign on my place. Just an old farm that has multiple home sites.

Dug 2 today. LOL I have been hitting a lot in my neighborhood that was just cleared. It was really old woods down by the creek. I didn't expect to find anything, but I have found lots of junk including 4 50cal bullet parts...2 casings, 1 bullet, and one unfired. I have no idea why they are there. A 1962 map of this area shows that there were not even any roads in my area. Weird. Also found a skeleton key, half of a pair of scissors, a buckle, and an axe head, along with other mics junk.

How about if you do not have permission? But you have a map and a history book and place you want look is owned by a guy will not let you go. I have had to run a lot of people off metal detecting and they knew they were wrong. They just go and play dumb.

If you are still working for RB you need to got to FP and look around the sand pit, cemetery, new club house, the barn where the brick mill was located, oak tree, and boat landing.

I’m not at all saying you would, but if you know any big time metal detecting guys they probably do or have at some point.

I have looked one place there once. Definitely lots and lots of good areas but lots of drama that I do not want to tangle with. I will be at the wildlife expo working the booth on sat afternoon I hope to see you!

Haha, I've got an old oil painting of Mt Hope. I haven't been down to that old cemetary in years.
