    Default BPS Part Identification

My BPS forearm and stock started coming apart and got really sticky like they do sometimes. Anyway, I broke the gun down sometime back and ordered new parts. I got them in today and put the gun back together and have somehow ended up with a part that I have no idea where it came from.

The forearm will not cycle down without binding against something, so I am assuming it goes on the forearm assembly somewhere. I can't make it really "fit" anywhere and it is not shown on any Browning BPS exploded parts diagram that I can find online. I have accounted for every single piece of the gun with the exception of this particular part.

I am assuming the gun not operating correctly is because of this, but don't really know.

I am also 100% positive this piece came off this gun.

    No to both questions.

This is a BPS, not Gold or A5.

Some of the older BPS guns had a cut off switch. Think it was located on the magazine tube.

On page 16, it shows a barrel stabilizing split ring. Looks a little different but could that be it?
Mine does not look like that, the literature below the diagram indicates that is for a Deer Model......whatever that is. I’ll try and attach a picture of what I have to work with.
