Default Western KY- Caldwell county area for whitetail

Talking with a guy about going out last week of oct to hunt his ground.

Aerials look good with mix of crops / crp/ creeks and timber. Anybody ever hunt that area?

I’ve hunted within a hour of there since 2015. Late October can be hit or miss. If you get cold weather, that week can be “ok.” The following week is when it starts getting right though.

That would be the way to go, IF you get a cold front. If you have the luxury to do so, just watch the weather and make the call about a week in advance. A weather change (drop in temp) will trump the moon and dates. It’s true here, but 10 times more true there.
