    Default 69 Mustang

I am a Chevy man, make no mistake about that.
I just picked up this 69 Mustang, it has been stored inside for over
20 years, not cranked in that entire time.
New gas tank, brake lines and the such are ordered and in route.
I have had a complete Ford 351 Cleveland engine sitting around for many years in my sisters garage.
Kevin's Jeep thread motivated me, researching cams and goodies to go into rebuilding it.
There is zero rust on this car and the dash, headliner and door panels are
in excellent condition, will probably be painted black. Stay tuned

    Good find. Manual I assume.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

A cleveland built up should roll on that car for sure. I met a guy that had 26 mustangs in a shop behind his house. Had several gt350’s a gt500 and a 69 with a boss 429 in it. Only one ive ever seen. You could play football on the head of that engine

Good looking ride. Me and my father restored my mother's '69 fastback a few years back she bought when she graduated high school in '69. It's a 3 speed with a straight six in it (250cid.) Bad ass looking ride but lacking the motor in it. It just sits now due to her being to old to drive it. That was a really good year for Ford and the Mustang.

This one has the straight 6 250 in it and its being pulled out real soon,
then I will have the engine compartment painted at same time the car is painted.
They made two 6cyl for this car, the one with the 250 in it is the only one you can put a V8 into
without beefing up front end and other things. Same car body on the 250 6 cyl that rolled down the V8 assembly line.
Not true for the 200 straight 6, it was lighter and has 4 lugs on wheels and this body has 5 lugs. That is another way to look when buying them.
Going to build a heavy thumping motor that will turn heads

I have a grown ass Ford motor and transmission I have been holding onto
for years knowing I would one day have a use for it. Came out of an old
hotrod ford truck from the early seventies. Looking forward to going thru the motor,
I haven't built one in a long time, but back in the day, I build several that ran great and
    stayed together.

I wanted a '65-69 Mustang worse than poon when I was in high school. Never did pull the trigger and still regret it. You could get a quality stock '69 with a 289 for mid-five figures back then. Of course I wanted to find a Boss 302, but couldn't have afforded it anyways.
