"You are Citadel Men, you have no pension for failure, you wear the Ring, you never let a friend down, you will be good fathers, husbands, and leaders in the armed forces and industry, you are strong in heart, body, and mind. You protect such things as Honor and Fidelity. Your virtues matter not only in wealth, but in the richness of family, you are the last of the knights."
- late President Ronald Reagan
Thinking hard about getting an Oklahoma buck tag, it’s just so hard to go out there and not bird hunt the whole time!

Good luck. Heading out on the 10th for CO muzzy. I’ve hire a packer I met out there last year to haul us and our gear in then coming back 8 days later to haul us out. Come home for 10 days then back out WY for a week. Then back home to see if I’m still married.
Headed north for grouse end of Oct

Good luck y’all!! I don’t head out to NM till end of October.
Fly to Bozeman on the 10th and back on the 18th. Good luck to all
Wow what a hunt. Saw a good many cows and the bulls were quiet. Huge Labor Day camping crowd made the elk disperse from normal areas. Rain first day then hot and dry followed by smoke from California wildfires. Killed him yesterday morning at 8am and it started sleeting when I hung the last quarter in the tree at camp. 14” of snow at 6AM so we headed home. Forecast had another 8-10” for tonight.
No bugling action this year. Saw a few bulls within a 100 yards but caught this one fighting another bull. Shot the smaller bull by accident but proud to kill him!
