    Default Out West 2020

It’s about that time to start the big game application process. Who’s going west and for what?
I’m applying for CO muzzleloader / 1st rifle elk and WY antelope and mule deer. Burned my WY deer points last year so it’s a long shot.

Buying points this year. Debating on getting another CO point for elk after the price increase last year.

Applied for WY Elk, if unsuccessful as expected I will be buying another point. This point creep in WY is getting tough

Headed to Colorado in September again, over the counter archery antelope and I have a good chance of drawing archery mule deer as well. Possibly a cow elk.

Buying a point in WY for elk. Going to apply for mule deer in a 70 percent draw region. (At least last year it was )

Sd muley tag is all but guaranteed.
Points for everything in MT, WY, UT, NV.
Id and NM sheep apps, few raffles and super tags. One day i'll draw a damn sheep tag before I die.

California for turkey, ducks, geese, and brant. Maybe some mountain quail and definitely some archery pigs!! LOL

Once I get back out there I'll try for some Nevada and Montana tags. Not too worried about horns but I'd definitely like to fill the freezer while there.
Living in Moncks Corner but looking forward to moving back to the West Coast in 2020 where there are more ducks and less duck hunters!! LOL

Applied last week. I will be there the week of Sept 14. Word is applications are way down for obvious reasons. They think they will be back to 2016 levels which means 100% draw success and leftovers go on sale.

I’m hoping that’s the case. My CO muzzy odds are 50/50. I burned my WY deer point last year but I’m going to apply anyway in case the number of applications are way down. I might get lucky and I’ll be there anyway for antelope.

I hope to be in either Nebraska or South Dakota in September for Sharptails and Prairie Chickens.
Just applying for points in MT, WY, and CO.
